Three fire crews are at a two-storey house in Rockhampton after something inside the home caught alight.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said they were called to the fire at 5.23pm.
She said when firefighters arrived smoke was billowing out of the home but the fire was out.
It is understood the fire started in the kitchen and there was an occupant at the time.
