Emergency crews raced to a property at Goovigen on Monday afternoon after an elderly man was dragged by his car.
Paramedics and fire crews were called to the incident on Goovigen Rannes Rd near Geigers Rd about 2.30pm.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said it was understood the man, 80, had been closing a gate at the property before he was dragged by the ute.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance Service said the man suffered a shoulder injury as well as lacerations and abrasions and was in a stable condition.
The incident wasn’t the only thing keeping local emergency crews busy.
About 3.19pm fire crews were called to a fire at a workshop at Port Alma.
A QFES spokeswoman said the fire was extinguished by 3.51pm and all workers had evacuated the workshop.
She said one crew remained on scene where they were cooling hot spots.
It is believed the fire was started by an electrical fault.
