A young Rockhampton mum who was caught supplying methamphetamine tried to cover her tracks by refusing police access to her phone.

The District Court in Rockhampton heard Eaydn Riva Rogan, 24, supplied meth on three occasions in May 2022 and once in August 2022.

Crown prosecutor Matthew Sutton said Rogan supplied a person with 0.5g of meth in May 2022 and also agreed to supply 14g and $1700 worth of the drug.

Mr Sutton said Rogan also supplied a person with 1.75g of meth in August 2022.

A search warrant was conducted at her house and she was found with 0.5g of meth, a pipe and a phone.

Mr Sutton said Rogan later refused to provide access to that phone to police, by pretending she forgot the code.

Defence barrister Maree Willey said her client, who had a young child, had developed a drug habit after she was introduced to meth at 15 years old.

Ms Willey said her client had a disadvantaged and prejudicial upbringing.

The court heard Rogan was reliant on convicted drug trafficker Daniel Charles Alick to source the drugs for her.

“It was her desire to obtain the drug for herself,” Ms Willey said.

Judge Jeff Clarke said Alick was “using her need to get the drug”.

Alick pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of trafficking a dangerous drug, one of possessing more than two grams of a schedule one drug, one of an aggravated supply of drugs, two of possessing drugs, one of possessing a thing used in trafficking drugs and two of contravening police direction.

He was sentenced to six years prison.

Rogan pleaded guilty to four counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, contravening an order about device information from digital device and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

Judge Clarke sentenced Rogan to 18 months, suspended for two years and declared two days of pre-sentence custody as time already served.
