Drug offenders facing Biloela and Yeppoon courts named
A man caught with drugs in his underwear was among the latest offenders to face court in Central Queensland.

The following people pleaded guilty in Central Queensland courts recently to drug offending.
Yeppoon Magistrates Court, January 19
No conviction recorded
Broden John Mepstead, 18
Broden John Mepstead pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and public nuisance in the vicinity of a licensed premises.
Police prosecutor Stacey Bain said about 7.50pm on December 17, police were called to The Railway Hotel at Yeppoon in relation to an incident.
Ms Bain said Mepstead was highly intoxicated, became aggressive towards police, and was arrested for public nuisance.
During a search of Mepstead, police found a clip-seal bag in his shorts pocket which contained 2.2g of cannabis.
The court heard that Mepstead had no criminal history.
Solicitor Krissy Cummins said Mepstead was doing some casual work as a concreter.
Ms Cummins said on the night of the incident, Mepstead had been celebrating his 18th birthday.
Magistrate Grace Kahlert placed Mepstead on two separate six-month good behaviour orders, both with a $250 recognisance, and also ordered him to drug diversion.
No conviction was recorded.
David James Owens, 49
David James Owens pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.
The court heard that on December 16, Owens was a passenger in a car stopped by police on the Scenic Highway at Yeppoon.
Police prosecutor Stacey Bain said police immediately smelt cannabis in the vehicle.
During a search, Owens was found in possession of 0.86g of cannabis.
With no prior similar offending, Owens was fined $300 and no conviction was recorded.
Joseph Peter Breach, 31
Joseph Peter Breach pleaded guilty to possessing MDMA.
The court heard police executed a search warrant at Breach’s Mulambin residence on October 22, 2021.
It was told the reason for the delay in this matter was because Breach hadn’t been charged until July 2022, and then there had been some case conferencing.
Police prosecutor Stacey Bain said during the search, police found Breach in possession of 10 MDMA pills.
The court heard Breach had no prior similar offending.
Solicitor Krissy Cummins said Breach was a diesel fitter by trade who was working as a maintenance manager.
Magistrate Grace Kahlert placed Breach on a six-month good behaviour order with drug diversion and a $300 recognisance.
No conviction was recorded.
Biloela Magistrates Court, January 11
Conviction recorded
Clinton Daniel Gainey, 37
Clinton Daniel Gainey pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.
Police prosecutor Kelvin Boyd said on December 17, police were patrolling Biloela when they saw Gainey on Don Street.
Mr Boyd said Gainey had a bag containing about 3g of cannabis in his underwear.
The court heard Gainey had prior drug offending on his criminal history.
Solicitor Lauren Townsend said Gainey was unemployed and Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale fined him $600 and recorded a conviction.

Christopher Thomas Mcduff, 46
Christopher Thomas Mcduff pleaded guilty to producing cannabis and was fined $500 with no conviction recorded.
Kyle Damian Voss, 26
Kyle Damian Voss pleaded guilty to producing and possessing cannabis, as well as possessing a drug utensil, and he was fined $850 with no conviction recorded.
