A Rockhampton father has been ordered to stand trial in the Supreme Court due to allegations of drug trafficking and possessing more than two grams of two different drugs.

A Rockhampton father has been ordered to stand trial in the Supreme Court due to allegations of drug trafficking and possessing more than two grams of two different drugs.

Darryn John Webber, 40, was ordered by Magistrate Cameron Press during committal hand up proceedings in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 1 in relation to one count of trafficking methamphetamines, two counts of possessing a dangerous drug in excess of two grams (meth and cocaine), one of possessing items used in a drug offence and one of possessing marijuana.

Mr Webber is accused of trafficking meth in the Rockhampton region between April 1-26, 2021.

He is also accused of possessing more than two grams of both meth and cocaine on April 25, along with possessing two mobile phones used in the alleged trafficking business, and being in possession of marijuana.

Mr Webber has not entered any pleas.

Police prosecutor Clancy Fox said the charges arose from a police search of a Rockhampton residence in April 2021 and the evidence included video and photographs of money and drugs allegedly found in the search, along with photographs of alleged messages between Mr Webber and associates on mobile phones.

Defence lawyer Andrew Owens was successful in having Mr Webber’s bail condition of reporting three days a week to police reduced to two days per week.

Mr Webber was also fined $750 for three breaches of bail for failing to report to police on time – twice due to medical issues with no medical certificate provided and once when he lost track of time.

Mr Webber has two other charges yet to be indicted which have been adjourned June 1.
