A police administration officer from Central Region, which takes in Capricornia and Mackay, has been suspended with pay from duty with the Queensland Police Service.
The female officer is the subject of an investigation into forgery related offences and is due to appear in court on July 14.
A QPS spokesman said: “In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.
“This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
