Multiple police units raced to a North Rockhampton street on Wednesday morning after reports five or six people armed with poles and knives were trying to kick a house door in.
Police were called to Kirby Street in the Koongal suburb just after 9am.
It’s understood some or all of the people reportedly armed may have fled the scene before police officers arrived.
Officers were seen speaking with the occupants of a house (pictured) with several police cars in Kirby Street and several others in nearby streets.
A resident said they heard yelling and screaming as the drama unfolded at the Kirby Street house.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said no-one was injured in the incident and as at 11am, no arrests had been made.
“Investigations are ongoing,” the QPS spokesman said.
