The chemical might have belonged to a person previously living at the home on Elphinstone St in Koongal.

Emergency services were called about 10.30am on Monday, November 17, and they evacuated the house and neighbouring homes in a 30m radius.

A pharmacist was called to the property with paramedics and police, who were doorknocking neighbours, to advise them about the exclusion zone.

The street was temporarily blocked to traffic as the situation was assessed.
