Police finalise investigation into tragic carpark fall at Taranganba
Police conducted an extensive investigation into the death of a woman following an incident at a Capricorn Coast tavern in September.
Police have found the death of a 50-year-old woman following a fall at a Taranganba tavern to be non-suspicious following an extensive investigation.
A police spokeswoman said on Friday, December 5 that officers would prepare a report for the coroner over the woman’s death on September 17.
Police and paramedics were called to the Capricorn Tavern at Yeppoon on the night of September 14 after the woman fell and suffered life-threatening head injuries in the tavern carpark about 7.45pm.
She was flown to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital, however, she succumbed to her injuries and died three days later.
A 42-year-old Rosslyn man, who was known to the woman and was at the tavern on the night of the incident, assisted police with initial inquiries.
Police also focused on interviewing other patrons at the hotel that night, with a number of appeals for witnesses to come forward.
