Boy, 9, in hospital after dog attack in North Rockhampton
Paramedics have treated a nine-year-old boy with head injuries after a dog attack in Rockhampton.

A young child was taken to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a dog attack in North Rockhampton.
Paramedics were called to a private address at 12.26pm to reports of a dog incident.
He was treated for head wounds and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed the patient was a nine-year-old boy and he was in a stable condition.
A Rockhampton Regional Council spokesperson advised they had not received any requests nor reports in relation to the incident.
It follows five dog attacks in South East Queensland in the space of a week recently, in which three children were among the injured, and the fatal mauling of an electricity meter reader in Logan in December.
