Rockhampton Police have arrested a man after reports he was armed with a large knife at a major city CBD shopping centre carpark.
Multiple police units swarmed to the City Centre Plaza complex about 2.40pm today, Wednesday December 11, after taking calls from members of the public.
A white van with a door open and bonnet up was blocking a section of the carpark as police interviewed witnesses and searched nearby streets.
Queensland Police media said the man was located nearby shortly afterwards and taken into custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
