Man taken to hospital after e-scooter crash in Wandal
Queensland’s e-mobility crisis deepens as a young man becomes the seventh rider injured in 12 hours following a crash in Rockhampton.
A man has been taken to hospital after an e-scooter crash in Wandal.
The crash occurred on Lion Creek Rd at 11.13pm, Tuesday, November 4.
The man in his 20s was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
The crash in Wandal was one of seven incidents involving e-mobility devices in Queensland in the last 12 hours.
Two women have been injured, one in a potentially life threatening condition, following back to back e-mobility incidents in the Whitsundays.
The crashes come as the Queensland Government faces mounting pressure over e-mobility crashes and deaths.
A parliamentary inquiry into e-scooters and e-bike use is currently ongoing.
