A teenager has been airlifted to hospital in a rescue helicopter after he suffered serious injuries while water skiing in a rural town in Central Queensland.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics and a rescue helicopter were called to the incident at a location of Degulla Road in Alpha, west of Emerald, at 6.29pm on Wednesday.
According to QAS, a male in his teens sustained suspected spinal and head injuries when he collided with a bank while water skiing.
He was airlifted to Mackay Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
