These people pleaded guilty in Yeppoon Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 8, to unlicensed driving.

Jaydan Luke Bianchi, 19, was caught driving while unlicensed at Yeppoon on June 25.

Police intercepted Bianchi at 7.40pm on Morris Street after they saw the Holden Commodore he was in being driven erratically.

Police checks revealed Bianchi was demerit point suspended.

When asked why he was driving, Bianchi told police that he was taking a male passenger in the car to hospital.

Police later contacted the hospital which confirmed that the male passenger had presented but did not require medical treatment.

Bianchi conceded that he should have called an ambulance instead of driving.

With numerous speeding offences on his traffic history, Bianchi was fined $450 and disqualified from driving for six months.

Christopher Lionel Humphrey Dawson, 46, came to the attention of police after the car he was driving failed to stop at a stop sign.

Officers intercepted Dawson on Yeppoon Road shortly after 7pm on June 14.

Checks revealed his licence had expired 943 days earlier.

Dawson told Magistrate Jason Schubert: “I just don’t know how it got to this stage.”

Mr Schubert fined Dawson $250.

Shazharna Theresa Constance Dodd-Brown, 22, was SPER suspended when police caught her driving on Yeppoon’s Ross Street on June 20.

Dodd-Brown told officers that she was not aware that her licence was suspended.

Magistrate Jason Schubert fined her $300 and disqualified her from driving for one month.
