A prominent Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast development company has lodged plans with council to build a 13-unit block in Norman Gardens.
Keppel Developments, headed by Bill Ouston and Troy Harry, have been in business since 2011 and together have built Seahaven Yeppoon, The Shoals at Lammermoor Beach, Crestwood at Norman Gardens and Breeze Residential in northern Gracemere.
Mr Ouston’s other previous projects in Central Queensland include Wilson Close, Archer View and Woodlands Chase in Rockhampton, Harbour View in Gladstone and The Meadows in Gracemere.
A development application was lodged this month with Rockhampton Regional Council for 13 units at 270 College Drive, Norman Gardens.
The planning documents propose all units will be single storey and there would be 1800 mm between each unit.
Unit one will have two bedrooms with a 94 sqm building area and units two to 13 will have three bedrooms, 104 sqm in total.
The site area is 4,508 sqm and the building will have a site cover of 38 per cent.
Each unit comes with two covered parking spaces, one in a lockable garage and another under a carport.
A turfed communal area is also proposed toward the rear of the site.
The units would be accessible from College Drive via a shared internal access driveway.
The site was created for residential purposes and the planning documents state it has already been cleared of significant vegetation.
The application will now be assessed with council planning officers.
