A family of four are in hospital after a house in Central Queensland became engulfed in flames. Latest updates here.

A family of four are in hospital after a house in Biloela became engulfed in flames on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the house fire on Dee Street at 6.05am.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said four crews responded to the scene and reported the fire was contained to the back of the house.

The spokeswoman said crews were still on scene at 7.15am with a small fire in the front room of the house.

A QFES spokeswoman said the fire was out just before 8am, with crews leaving about 9.30am.

The spokeswoman said fire investigators had been asked to attend.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said four patients were transported to Biloela Hospital in stable conditions after being assessed for smoke inhalation.

This included a woman in her 20s, a man in his 30s, a male toddler and a male infant.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed the occupants of the home, a family, had been transported to hospital and that the house was “fully engulfed” in fire.

She said police would be looking into the cause of the fire.
