A VEGETATION fire is burning north of Yeppoon on Kellys Landry Rd south of Byfield State Forest.
Five fire crews are on scene, backburning to try to contain the blaze.
The fire currently poses no threat to property or life but residents are being urged to keep windows and doors closed.
Residents should keep respiratory medications close by if needed, and motorists are urged to drive with caution.
