Multiple emergency crews were called to a house “well involved” with fire on the Capricorn Coast on Monday morning.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to the blaze at 35 Scenic Highway, Cooee Bay, at 10.24am.
A spokeswoman for QFES said when crews arrived on scene there was a fire on the front veranda of the house, which neighboured a block of units.

The spokeswoman said large amounts of smoke was seen coming from the property and the fire had spread to the carport.
At 10.53am the fire had been contained to the property, with the neighbouring unit blocks not under threat.
Police are on scene with paramedics also on stand by.
It is understood fire investigators have been called about the blaze but were not required.
Police scenes of crime officers were also not attending the scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said all persons had been evacuated from the house.
The fire was extinguished by 11.10am.
