Dulcet Hairdressing voted Rockhampton’s best hairdresser

From a home salon to a shopfront, meet the 2023 winner of Rockhampton’s Best Hairdresser as voted by you.

Dulcet Hairdressing was the winner of Rockhampton’s Best Hairdresser poll.

After hundreds of nominations and votes the winner of Rockhampton’s best hairdresser 2023 has been decided.

Dulcet Hairdressing, based on Rockhampton’s northside, received the most votes out of the 64 nominees.

The salon is owned by hairdresser of 22 years Stella Bishell, who began her business as a home salon.

She opened her shop front on Musgrave St in Berserker two years ago and works with her dedicated team of stylists.

“I’m very proud of what we’ve created, my team works very hard, they’re all beautiful, kind, strong women,” she said.

“I think what I’m most proud of is how welcome they make everybody feel.

“I think it (hairdressing) is like a sisterhood, you get to work in a team that’s like being part of a family and you’re giving people confidence and making them feel good about themselves.”

Ms Bishell thanked everyone who voted for their salon.

“We really appreciate everyone’s support and we couldn’t do it without our beautiful clients, we love the energy everyone put into it,” she said.

Metro Vision Classic came in second place with Evernew Hair Studio and Floss’ Hair Studio coming in a tied third place.
