The CQ Capras under-19 women‘s squad boasts plenty of talent, according to coach Walson Carlos.
Thirty-six players have been named in the initial squad after two days of trials held at Rockhampton’s Rugby Park.
They will take part in three weeks of pre-season training before having a two-week break over Christmas and resuming on January 2.

The squad will then be reduced to 30 in preparation for the Capras’ two trial games, the first of which will be against Redcliffe in Gladstone on February 4.
The team will then head into the 2023 Harvey Norman Under-19 statewide competition.
Carlos said he was impressed with what he saw at the trials and was confident that once the players started training together, they would continue to improve.
“Overall, I’m pretty excited about the squad we’ve got. There’s a lot of talent there,” he said.

“In terms of our strength areas, we have some young halves who look good and our forward pack is pretty impressive as well.
“Probably at this stage, the outside back spots are up for grabs.”
