For the first time in the Yeppoon CBD’s history, a nanobrewery - which promises to exude ‘freedom and elegance’ like its namesake - will serve up cold beers right on the coastal town’s esplanade as it continues to grow into a tourism mecca.

The Capricorn Coast’s newest brewing company, Crimson Finch Brewery, has been given the green light from Livingstone Shire Council to nest at Salt Yeppoon on Anzac Parade.

With council approvals now in place, construction is set to commence.

Head brewer Carl Legros and the team have been working behind the scenes for close to 12 months on designing and developing the Crimson Finch brand and ethos and were excited to take another step closer to sharing the product with locals and visitors.

Carl, and wife Rachael join Wayne and Laureth Rumble and Grant and Tanya Lynch on the exciting adventure.

“The quality of our craft beer is our top priority, and we are committed to using only the finest ingredients to deliver some of the highest quality and best-tasting beers in the world,” Mr Legros said.

“There is more than one style of beer. At Crimson Finch there will be a beer for everyone.

“We are represented by the Australian Crimson Finch, a bird that exudes freedom and elegance and has a personality renowned for its boldness and confidence. A true illustration of our beer, our brand and what we stand for.”

He said from the beginning, the goal was to have something in town.

“Grant and Tanya own Vue Wine Bar and Restaurant and it’s an awesome location and when we found out about that potential location we contacted the owners and it just went from there,” he said.

“We got the blessing from the owners of Salt.

“What’s the most exciting is knowing that it’s something that’s never happened in the Yeppoon CBD.”

Business partner Grant Lynch said initially the brewery would start off with a core range.

Mr Lynch said it was a “super exciting opportunity for locals, tourists and anyone who loves beer”.

“It just gives people something else to do in town, a different place to go,” he said.

“It’s a taste experience.”

The team at Crimson Finch are hoping to throw open the doors as soon as possible.

“It’s all systems go for us now and we need to ensure that all the cogs keep turning so that we can start quenching the communities thirst,” Mr Legros said.

Capricorn Enterprise chief executive officer Mary Carroll congratulated Crimson Finch on their success to date, and was certain the nanobrewery would be incredibly well received by the Capricorn Coast community.

“Sipping on a locally brewed beer while taking in our destination’s coastal landscape and laid-back vibes is certainly a recipe for success and we look forward to working closely with Crimson Finch into the future,” Ms Carroll said.

Crimson Finch will be located at Shop 5, 32 Anzac Parade, Yeppoon.

The Crimson Finch selection can also be found at Vue Wine Bar and Restaurant.
