Fellow Rockhampton school Emmaus College claimed their fourth straight title in the 18 mixed with an 8-3 win over Southport State High.

Emmaus’ Lilla Pratt capped off her first All Schools appearance by being named Player of the Final.

“We’re all such great friends so getting to play together and get the win is so amazing.”

TCC fielded six teams at the five-day event, which is billed as the world’s largest touch carnival and this year attracted more than 460 teams to the Gold Coast.

Their 13 boys and 18 boys made the top four, while their 15 boys, 15 girls and 18 girls made the top eight.

Those results meant TCC won champion school for the fourth year running.

TCC’s director of sport Mick Busby said it was a great effort overall and a wonderful result for the 13 girls who went through undefeated to claim back-to-back titles under coach Tracy Upton.

The winning team members are Price, Adelaide Seierup, Charli Hardy, Charli Whitmey, Lilly Chopping, Caprice Sanders, Sally Busby, Sienna Bayles, Aleerah Neep, Lexi Goodwin, Ava Tranberg, Aliah Bills and Izzy Jensen.

The girls booked their place in Saturday’s decider after beating All Hallows in a drop-off in the semi, getting home 4-3 with just three players left on the field.

Busby said they were outstanding all carnival and deserved to bring home the title.

“We had a very resilient bunch of girls who did whatever their coach asked of them,” he said.

“They played the perfect game in the final, they hardly made a mistake.

“They really did themselves proud.”
