More than 150 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across the Central Queensland region in the past 24 hours, according to CQ Health.

There were 151 new confirmed cases in Central Queensland residents, with the Rockhampton Regional Council area recording 45, Gladstone Regional Council area recording 65, Livingstone Shire recording 17, and Central Highlands Regional Council area recording 19.

In the Banana Shire Council area there were four new cases recorded, as well as one person with a Central Queensland address who was diagnosed elsewhere.

On Saturday, there were three patients in the Rockhampton Hospital Covid ward in stable conditions.

Across the state, there have been 11,174 new recorded cases in the past 24 hours, with 17 people in intensive care and two more Queenslanders confirmed to have died due to the virus.
