PREMIER Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed the Government will reintroduce its ban on developer donations during this week’s Parliamentary sittings.
It comes just days after LNP president Gary Spence indicated he would launch a legal challenge against the ban as it would make it almost impossible for him to continue on in his role.
Under the legislation introduced last year Mr Spence would be classified as a developer.
Ms Palaszczuk stared down the challenge.
“Let them go ahead and challenge it,” she said.
“This is about being transparent and accountable.
“This was legislation that was introduced last year and it will be reintroduced tomorrow.”
She said the laws would be retrospective, taking in last year’s State Election period.
The CCC had recommended the ban apply to council candidates but Labor will ban developer donations on a state level as well.
