Qld’s Teachers’ Union Pushing For More Deputy Principals 03/04/2022

A man who was fatally shot during a brawl on a suburban Queensland street allegedly punched and taunted the man with the pistol believing it was a toy just seconds before he was shot, according to court documents. 

Queensland’s powerful teachers’ union is pushing for more deputy principals to be deployed across state schools as primary school principals argue extra support is needed to lift student performance. 

Mum-and-dad investment property owners in more than 60 South East Queensland suburbs face being slugged with hefty land tax bills for the first time after controversial new land valuations. 

People who follow former partners, track their phones or monitor their text messages will be charged under stronger stalking laws set to come before state cabinet.
