An inmate and two guards have been injured in a crash involving a prison vehicle near Brisbane Correctional Centre.

Three people have been injured in a crash involving a prison vehicle near Brisbane Correctional Centre.
Queensland Ambulance Service sent multiple crews to the crash scene on Wacol Station Rd at Wacol, including critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit.
A spokeswoman said the two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 9am, with two of the vehicle’s occupants sustaining serious injuries.
It’s understood there were three people in the vehicle including one offender.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services also attended, with one of the passengers initially trapped inside the smouldering vehicle.
A Corrective Services spokeswoman said two officers and an offender under supervision in the community were injured.
“The three were transported to hospital by QAS,” she said.
“Management and colleagues are supporting the officers and their families.
“There was only one offender in the vehicle at the time of the crash. There is no risk to public safety.”
