A man was charged with drink driving after police say a Land Rover Discovery became stuck at the popular Noosa Spit beach, where beach driving is not permitted.
Queensland Police confirmed the 77-year-old driver was charged with drink driving.
The police spokesman said the man returned a middle-range blood alcohol concentration reading of .131 per cent.
He said officers were called to the end of Noosa Spit at Claude Batten Dr on July 18, 2022, where they found the silver 4WD stuck on a rock wall.
Clayton’s Towing was called to retrieve the vehicle from the sand on Tuesday morning.
“Did make for a nice view on the job,” Claytons Towing said.
The driver was due to appear in Noosa Magistrates Court on August 2.
