Firefighters control shed fire at Lake Macdonald property

Emergency services have been called to a rural property in the Noosa hinterland after reports a large shed had caught on fire. See the video.

Emergency services have rushed to Lake Macdonald following reports a fire broke out in a shed.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said two crews were called to the single storey shed fire at Hoy Rd about 1pm on June 29, 2022.

She said when the crews arrived the shed was “fully involved”.

“Three firefighters in breathing apparatus were working from the outside to extinguish the structure fire,” the spokeswoman said.

The fire is now under control with firefighters working to extinguish any remaining hot spots.

“They’re removing sheets of iron to gain access to hot spots,” the spokeswoman said.

Queensland Ambulance and Queensland Police were also called to the scene to assist.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said everyone was accounted for at the property and nobody required medical assistance from paramedics.

Crews remain on scene.
