Man, 82, dies after being hit by car at Cannon Hill Bunnings
A routine shopping trip has ended in tragedy after an elderly man was fatally struck by a vehicle.
An elderly man has died after being struck by a vehicle in a car park at a Brisbane shopping complex.
Crews raced to Cannon Hill Bunnings about 10am Saturday after reports a man had been hit by a grey Mitsubishi Triton in the car park.
The 82-year-old Carindale man fell and hit his head after being struck by the car.
Ambulance crews took the elderly man to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with injuries to his head and arms. He later died in hospital.
The driver, a 24-year-old Carindale man, was not physically injured.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to come forward.
