There is no stopping Clermont’s bullriding sensation Aaron Kleier who has etched his name in the record books after taking out his fourth consecutive PBR Australia Championship.

The 23 year old took out his fourth title at the Monster Energy PBR Australia Grand Finals in Townsville at the weekend.

Kleier is one of only two bullriders in history to have won a national title four times in any of the PBR’s international divisions.

Kleier is now tied with NSW rider David Kennedy for the most Australian national titles won by one rider in league history.

Kennedy topped the national standings in 2009-2010, 2012 and 2014.

“It feels unreal and just glad to have my job done,” Kleier said.

“To stay consistent for the last four years, that’s been my biggest goal, to stay consistent.

“I’m so happy and I’m so glad.

“I don’t have a plan for next year. I’ll see how everything pans out (with Covid-19) but I’d like to get back overseas.”

Kleier began his PBR career in 2017 when he won the Rookie title after just half a season.

“Then every year on, I won a title,” he said.

Reflecting on his weekend in Townsville, Kleier said there were some “good riders”.

“There was a 90 (point ride) there, and an 89 … in the short round … there were a couple of good bulls,” he said.

“We all get behind each other and want each other to do well.

“The next competition is in the New Year … and in two weekends’ time there is the CRCA Show in Nebo.”

Kleier thanked his sponsors Camp Hire and Warrick Hale Bullropes, and his family for the support.
