The Holden Colorado was just one of the most recent vehicles stolen in a spate of car thefts across the region that has frustrated residents.
Police were called to the chaotic scene at the Sarina Beach Road Shopping Centre where the stolen ute was being used to ram other vehicles in the car park on Friday July 30 about 3.25pm.
A police spokesman said the group fled the scene with police patrolling the area finding the Holden abandoned half an hour later and only 2km away on Petersen Street.
He said police dogs were called to track the culprits on Friday afternoon but were unable to find them.
The Holden Colorado was traced back to a Paget workshop where it had been stolen 48 hours before on Wednesday July 28 just after midnight.
A police spokesman said police spotted the vehicle near a Park Street house doing “burn outs” later on Wednesday about 1.20pm, days before the Sarina rampage.
The spokesman said the 31-year-old woman arrested had been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle in relation to the theft of the vehicle.
