A private Mackay school will expand again with a 916sq m double storey multipurpose building.
Mackay Regional Council has approved Carlisle Adventist Christian College’s development proposal which detailed a ground floor food technology classroom with ten cooking stations.
Plans also include a pantry and dry store, a cafe corner with a coffee machine, preparation and wash benches, a three-table cafe and alfresco area connected to the servery.

There will be two classrooms, store rooms and a 129sq m veranda on the first floor.
The Burling Brown-designed project was first lodged to MRC in 2017 by Stanton Dahl Architects.
The RPS Group, on behalf of the school, also lodged plans in December 2020 to make a 9.6m by 9.6m demountable classroom a permanent fixture, catering for an additional 30 students.
