Man charged over fatal Bruce Highway, Kuttabul crash
Police have charged a man over a fatal crash that killed two people on the Bruce Highway last year.

A 65-year-old Bloomsbury man has been charged over a horror Bruce Highway crash that cost two people their lives following an investigation into a fatal crash in Kuttabul last year.
Police will allege the man was driving a Toyota Hilux utility about 2.35pm on December 28 while travelling north along the Bruce Highway before striking a Chevrolet Silverado towing a caravan and a Toyota Kluger.
Two people were killed in the crash, the 76-year-old East Mackay man driving the Toyota Kluger who was declared dead at the scene and a 68-year-old East Mackay woman who was a passenger in that same vehicle.
The woman was taken to hospital but passed away on December 31 as a result of her injuries.
The occupants of the Silverado sustained no physical injuries.
The man who was driving the Hilux was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
He was was issued with a notice to appear on April 23 and charged with one count of driving under the influence of liquor and two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while affected by an intoxicating substance.
He is expected to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on May 26.
