A 68-year-old woman has died after she was involved in a Bruce Highway crash that claimed the life of a 76-year-old man.

A 68-year-old East Mackay woman has died following a fatal traffic crash on the Bruce Highway at Kuttabul on December 28.
A 76-year-old was killed in the crash – one of two deaths on Queensland roads on that day – following a serious collision involving a vehicle towing a caravan.
Initial investigations revealed that at about 2.35pm a Toyota Hilux ute heading north near the Mcgills Rd intersection at Kuttabul came into contact with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado towing a caravan which then crashed with a southbound Toyota Kluger.
The 76-year-old East Mackay man, who was driving the Toyota Kluger, suffered life-threatening injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The woman, who was a passenger, was taken to the Mackay Base Hospital in a critical condition and has since died.
A 65-year-old Bloomsbury man, who was driving the Hilux, was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The occupants of the Silverado sustained no physical injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
Earlier on Saturday a 35-year-old man died in a motorbike and vehicle collision in Northern Queensland.
The man was riding a motorbike along Johnston Road in Mossman about 2.30pm when he was struck by a vehicle he was following.
The rider suffered critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
The vehicle driver did not sustain any injuries but was assisting police with inquiries.
Investigations into the collision are ongoing.
