Police are investigating an alleged arson after an offender doused a mobile speed camera with an accelerant and set it alight, destroying the trailer.
The incident, which occurred on January 20 at Mount Pleasant, has been captured by CCTV cameras that had been on the targeted equipment.
The footage, released by police, shows a man walking up to the trailer before moving to a grassy area nearby with a backpack.
He then moves to the trailer and douses it with a liquid from a used Coke bottle.
Soon after a fire sparks at the equipment, which can be seen from different angles via the footage.
A person is captured on camera running from the site.

Initial investigations indicate a man approached the trailer on Malcomson Street about 10.30pm and set the trailer alight.
Emergency crews arrived soon afterwards and extinguished the blaze, however the trailer was destroyed.
