Mackay police are appealing to the local community to help solve unsolved crimes.

These five victims of theft have been left without their possessions, are you able to help with police investigations?

Stolen cigarettes in North Mackay — September 24 - 25

Intruders have smashed through the window of a North Mackay business overnight from September 24 to 25.

A police spokeswoman said they took a “number of cigarette items” from a cupboard of the Evans Avenue store before leaving.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the break-in, the CCTV images or the whereabouts of the cigarettes to contact them.

Stolen moped after business break in – September 5

A moped was stolen from a business address in Paget after a break in on Dozer Drive.

The theft took place between 4pm on September 3 and 10am on September 5.

The offender cut through a perimeter fence to gain access to the property, before forcing a door open.

The moped was then stolen out of the warehouse.

Kuttabul business break in – September 11

An unknown intruder used the cover of darkness to break into a Kuttabul business.

Between 7pm on September 10 and 5am on September 11, an unknown intruder forced open the rear door of the business.

The person moved through an upstairs office, where digital equipment was taken.

The office, kitchens and other work areas were also ransacked, with an unspecified quantity of money stolen.

Cigarettes were also taken from the premises.

Mackay home break in – September 20

An overnight raid on a West Mackay home took place from September 19-20.

An intruder entered the Bridge Road property through an unlocked front door.

They entered a bedroom where the resident was sleeping, and took a Samsung mobile phone in a pink case.

No other property was stolen.

Car stolen from work site – September 13

An opportunistic thief stole a work car from a construction site in West Mackay on September 13.

The white Toyota HiLux dual cab was parked near an active road worksite with the engine running and keys in the ignition.

The vehicle has yellow and black call signs on the side and rear – SCS 01.

The car had emergency flashing lights to alert members of the public to the work site being operational.

An unknown man wearing all black approached the vehicle and entered on the driver’s side of the car, driving it away from the Duncan Street scene.

The work vehicle’s registration number was 684XAE.

Stolen motor protector – August 25

A motoring enthusiast entered a business on Prospect Street, Mackay to buy a number of items on August 25.

After buying several items at 12.52pm, the unknown man allegedly removed a black Suzuki boat motor protective cover from the holding yard.

He then quickly left the shop without making payment.

Sleeping break-in – September 17

While a South Mackay resident was sleeping in their lounge room, an unknown intruder entered the property on Black Street through a rear door.

While the door was closed, it was unlocked at the back of the property on September 17.

The thief searched multiple rooms, stealing a variety of items including jewellery, a pocket knife and personal awards.

Stolen car from work site – September 16

Another workplace theft has taken place, with the more recent incident happening in Sarina.

A white Nissan Patrol utility was stolen on Courtney Gap Road on September 16, about 8.10am.

The driver parked the car at a worksite and left it unlocked with the keys inside.

Another person on the construction site saw it driving away shortly after the vehicle arrived.

Business break-in – September 16

A business break-in took place on the morning of September 16 in North Mackay.

Between 8am and 8.45am, an unknown man walked into the Evans Ave business through an unlocked back door.

The office area was searched with multiple drawers opened.

A thief stole cash and other documents before leaving the business through the same door.
