A man charged with dangerous driving after he allegedly rammed a police vehicle multiple times has been remanded in custody.
Police alleged at the time he possessed a shortened firearm.
It is alleged Jack Thomas Shearman had been driving a black Holden Commodore police had tried to intercept on June 17.
It is alleged the vehicle reversed into a stationary police car several times near the Gordon and Milton Sts intersection.
Mr Shearman, 33, was taken into custody following a dramatic roadside arrest and later charged with dangerous driving while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance over the incident.
The 33 year old is also charged with obstructing police, disqualified driving as a repeat offender, driving an uninsured vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, drug items and shortened firearms which, if convicted, carries a mandatory jail term with actual time behind bars.
He appeared in Mackay Magistrates Court via videolink on Monday and was formally charged with a string of offences across Mackay and Moranbah that began on April 15.
It is alleged Mr Shearman failed to stop for police in Moranbah on April 15.
The court heard it was further alleged he drove while disqualified in a vehicle fitted with cancelled registration plates.
Magistrate Bronwyn Hartigan also charged Mr Shearman with breaching bail between June 1 and 8.
The court heard as part of his curfew conditions he had to remain at his bail address between 9pm and 5am.
Mr Shearman did not apply for bail and will head to Capricornia Correctional Centre on Tuesday where he will stay on remand.
He will appear in court via videolink on July 12.
