Police are working to reopen the Bruce Highway between Mackay and Rockhampton after a semi-trailer crashed with three caravans on board.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said crews were called to the scene just south of Carmila just before 8.10am.
By 9.20am police had set up traffic diversions with a QPS spokeswoman shortly after noon saying they were hoping to have the highway open within the hour.
A photo taken at the incident shows the truck was carrying three caravans and had come to a stop, spread across the entire highway.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics had assessed one person at the scene who did not have any injuries and would not require transport to hospital.
