The Bruce Highway has reopened to traffic between Mackay and Rockhampton following a truck rollover.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said crews were called to the scene at Flaggy Rock, about 15 minutes’ drive north of Clairview, just before 8am.
She said a truck and trailer had overturned and spilt potting mix onto the road.
A photo of the crash shared to Facebook showed the trailer and potting mix were across both lanes of the highway.
The police spokeswoman said as the material contained fertiliser, all material had to be properly removed and was unable to be swept onto the side of the highway with officers on scene as traffic control.
The highway reopened to traffic shortly before 12.30pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics had not been called to attend.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said firefighters were not called to attend.
This masthead understands the Department of Transport and Main Roads was responsible for the clean up.
