A driver accused of causing a fatal crash that killed a Sarina mother will reappear in court next month.
Brent Jordan Smith is charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Tamara Boland.
The mother of two had been driving home from work on October 6, 2020 when she was involved in a head-on collision on Eton Homebush Road about 5.50pm.
Tragically, not long after the 43 year old died at the scene her husband came across the crash site after he went looking for his wife when she did not return home.
Smith, the McEwans Beach driver, was charged in December 2020 and, if convicted, faces up to 10 years jail.
The case was first mentioned in court in late January 2021.
Because of the serious nature of the charge, the case will need to be committed from the magistrates court to the district court jurisdiction to be finalised which can take some time.

The case against Smith was mentioned in Mackay Magistrates Court on Wednesday. It has been adjourned to a date in June.
