Ayden Jedd Bradshaw has switched legal representation again, shifting back to a private solicitor from Legal Aid Queensland.
He is charged with murder and grievous bodily harm over the death of Beau Bradshaw between June 1 and 5, 2020 at East Mackay.
Mackay detectives alleged the six-month-old boy suffered traumatic brain and other internal injuries resulting in his death.
He had spent the morning at the beach with his family on June 2, 2020 before paramedics were called to a Beverly Street home in the afternoon where the little boy was found unresponsive.

Mackay Magistrates Court on Wednesday heard Mr Bradshaw had re-engaged with Macrossan and Amiet Solicitors.
His lawyer Stephen Hayles said counsel had been briefed to “prepare a notice” in relation to a possible directions hearing for the case.
Mr Hayles asked for an adjournment but police prosecutor Sabine Scott said, “If there’s going to be preliminary agreement we would need more time.
“If it can be resolved without directions (from the court) … we’d prefer to do it that way.”
Mr Bradshaw has been in custody since his arrest last year. He did not appear in court for this brief mention.
The case was adjourned to a date next month.
