The case against a Mackay mother who unlawfully had sex with a mentally impaired teen has been delayed over an outstanding report.
The woman pleaded guilty to the charge in May and matters were listed to be finalised on Tuesday.
However defence barrister Scott McLennan, acting for the woman, told Mackay District Court the case had initially been adjourned so a pre-sentence psychiatric report could be prepared.
A pre-sentence report often contains information about an accused that helps a judge decide what the penalty should be.

It includes information about an accused’s family, childhood, the offence and their attitude to the offence and any victim.
It can also look at any consequences or punishment already experienced, behaviour since the offending and any other information requested by the court.
The woman, who cannot be named because it could identify the victim, pleaded guilty to unlawful carnal knowledge of a person with an impairment of the mind.
Mr McLennan said the report had not been completed and asked for the case to be adjourned to a later date.
Matters were adjourned to the next Mackay District Court callover.
