DASHCAM footage lead police to an alleged West Mackay motorbike hoon, who will front court on multiple serious traffic charges.
The 29 year old is accused of five counts each of disqualified driving and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, as well as evading police, failing to stop at a red light and two minor drug-related offences.

Mackay Crime Prevention Unit’s Senior Constable Steve Smith said between November 13 and 17 police received numerous community complaints over alleged dangerous driving involving a KTM motorbike across the city.
Some members of the public were able to provide dashcam footage and photos of the alleged motorbike and as a result Mackay Road Policing Unit and Mackay Tactical Crime Squad officers raided a South Mackay home.

Sen-Const Smith said when police executed the search warrant a KTM 640 LC4 motorbike, helmet and riding clothes were found and seized.
“It will be further alleged that two drug utensils were found and seized,” he said.
A 29-year-old West Mackay man was arrested and charged and will appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on January 13.
