North Mackay residents wake to Mitsubishi Triton stuck in front fence
An attempted car theft has left a Mitsubishi Triton wedged in the owner’s fence outside of their North Mackay home.

North Mackay residents woke to a loud bang in the early hours of Saturday morning to discover their ute wedged into their front fence.
Senior Constable Steve Smith said the Elizabeth St residents had heard the engine of the 1993 Mitsubishi Triton start up followed by the “loud bang” about 12.30am.
He said the residents went to the front yard and discovered the Triton wedged into their front fence.
The residents’ reported seeing an unknown white sedan driving quickly away from the area.
The drivers door side of the ute has been damaged.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible either by Policelink or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
