A TOOWOOMBA cafe, which has been serving the south side of town for more than a decade, has closed its doors.
The Angel Cafe has been owned and operated by Greg and Melanie Waters for the past three years, and was known for its delicious breakfast offerings, top-notch coffee and decadent milkshakes.
Last night on Facebook the pair announced the business was sold and had closed its doors.
"We thank everyone for their support over the last few years, having Angel (Cafe) has been such a huge part of our lives but it is time for us to slow down and enjoy our beautiful boys," the post read.
"We hope to see everyone around as we have made some life long friendships.
"Thank you to all our staff who have been with us, we wish you all the best for the next step in your lives."
Just last month, Harajuku and Bailey's also announced their closures, and at the time The Angel Cafe shared its sadness saying "they know the struggle and feel for everyone that are having troubles."
The Facebook post was inundated with comments and well wishes from staff and customers.
Tate Eleanor Smith said: "All the best for all your future endeavours Greg and Mel! I will forever remember my time at the Angel, with the most beautiful family I have ever met."
Rachael Bentley said: "Oh no I didn't even get there when I was last in Toowoomba."
Chaela Vermaak said: "No! We would have loved a chance to come in for last orders. Good luck."
Kaleece Dóne said: "You guys were our little local go to for takeaway coffees on our way to Warwick. Going to miss popping in. All the best."
