Mitsubishi v Nissan crash shuts Mackay-Eungella Rd

The eastbound lane to Mackay was shut this morning after a four wheel drive rear ended a second car, with seven people caught up.

The eastbound lane towards Mackay was closed after a two vehicle crash just before 8am.

Emergency services responded to the scene where it was reported that one car had struck another in a nose-tail collision between a Mitsubishi Pajero and a Nissan Patrol at the intersection of Mackay-Eungella Rd and Branscombe Rd.

The Mitsubishi Pajero was moved to the side of the road and it had sustained significant damage to its front bumper and bonnet.

Paramedics assessed seven occupants from two vehicles.

All occupants were uninjured and none were transported to hospital.

The vehicle was towed from the scene just before 9am and the road was reopened in both directions.
