A man has been flown from Kinchant Dam following an incident on the water left him with back injuries.
Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the dam just after 2pm to reports the man in his 50s had suffered a back injury after a reported tubing incident.
Jetskins and boats were still on the water on the hot Sunday afternoon when the man was treated for his injuries.
The man reportedly could not feel his legs in the aftermath of the incident.
The man was reportedly brought to shore by a boat where he was assessed by QAS paramedics.
A QAS spokesman said it was believed the patient experienced trouble related to a previous medical issue which led to the incident.
The spokesman said the man suffered non-life threatening back injury and was flown to Mackay Hospital in a stable condition by the BMA CQ Rescue Helicopter about 4.20pm.
The incident comes nine months after Ryan Craig drowned in Kinchant Dam saving his daughter from a tragic boating accident.
