The RACQ CQ rescue helicopter has been tasked to a crash for the second time this weekend after a motorcyclist was involved in an incident in the Isaac region.

Emergency services responded to reports shortly before 10am a motorcyclist hadcrashed on the Coolaroy-Tierwoomba Rd, about 75km east of Nebo.

It was understood that the motorcyclist was still breathing, but had lapsed into unconsciousness.

The RACQ CQ rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene before 11am and by 12.20pm had loaded the patient onto the helicopter.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed that the motorist is currently being transported to Mackay Base Hospital in serious condition.

It was later confirmed by the same QAS spokeswoman that the RACQ helicopter had changed their destination and would be landing at Mackay Airport only to refuel, before transporting the patient to Townsville for treatment.
