Two ambulance crews are treating a man who had his arm caught in machinery at a Mackay scrap metal business.
A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said a call came in at 10.10am on Monday for an adult male with a serious hand/arm injury on Crichtons Rd.
“That’s been caught in some form of machinery,” she said.
However, on arrival, they found the man freed of the machine, and with no ‘obvious’ injuries, the spokeswoman later confirmed.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to Mackay Base Hospital.
An employee of Raw Metal Corporation, Mackay, confirmed the accident was at their business.
More to come.
