Police allege a 30 year old Slade Point man entered the Caneland Shopping Centre Liquorland store about 3pm Saturday and threatened staff and customers inside while armed with a toy look-a-like rifle.

It is understood he then went to the Hungry Jacks across the road from the shopping centre before being found and arrested by police at Dan Murphy's on Victoria St about 4pm.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the man has since been charged with dangerous conduct with a weapon and attempted robbery.
